About the position

The Sr. DevOps Engineer will play a crucial role in the Development Team, working in a dynamic and fast-paced agile environment. This position is focused on supporting CI/CD pipelines and developing automation solutions using AWS technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CI/CD processes, particularly in building and maintaining pipelines for AWS projects. The role requires the development of Terraform scripts for provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure resources, ensuring that deployment processes are efficient and reliable. In this position, the engineer will collaborate closely with internal development teams to build CI pipelines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during project releases. The engineer will also work with the CI/CD team to maintain and manage CI/CD tools and pipelines, supporting the full automation of continuous integration processes. Familiarity with multi-tenancy and SaaS principles is essential, as these concepts will be incorporated into the CI/CD pipelines. The engineer will be responsible for adhering to IT Control Policies throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that automation solutions are delivered with high quality. Documentation of detailed application specifications and technical designs will also be a key responsibility. Additionally, the engineer will perform production support, which includes environment setup, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. The ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while complying with company policies and maintaining regular attendance is crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines for AWS projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop Terraform scripts for provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure resources.
  • Continuously improve and optimize deployment processes for efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with internal development teams to build CI pipelines and troubleshoot issues in project releases.
  • Work closely with the CI/CD team to maintain and manage CI/CD tools and pipelines and support full automation of CI.
  • Incorporate multi-tenancy and SaaS principles into CI/CD pipelines as a service provider.
  • Adhere to IT Control Policies throughout the project life cycle and ensure high-quality delivery of automation solutions.
  • Document detailed application specifications and technical designs.
  • Perform production support including environment setup, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Provide development support to technical POCs based on guidance from Architects.
  • Manage multiple initiatives in parallel with competing priorities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software development and CI/CD/DevSecOps experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in scripting/programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, etc.
  • 4+ years of experience in CI/CD/DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience in working with Terraform IaC and key features, Execution Plans, State files, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience in container technologies such as Docker Hub, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS/ROSA, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience/knowledge in environment/system monitoring and troubleshooting with tools such as AWS Cloud Watch, AWS X-Ray, Sumo Logic, Dynatrace, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience/knowledge in AWS technologies such as Step functions, SQS, SNS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree from a Four (4) year College or University.

Nice-to-haves

  • AWS Certified professional preferred.
  • Previous working experience in the mortgage (or other financial) industry is a plus.
