About the position

The Sr DevOps role at Volkswagen Group focuses on supporting the development and integration of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving solutions. This position is critical in ensuring that the software products are continuously integrated and tested through automated processes. The candidate will be involved in automating various development processes, which includes supporting data collection from the test fleet, automating labeling, and managing Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) processes. Additionally, the role requires the integration of different project management tools such as Jira and CodeBeamer, linking automated tests to these tools, and implementing build and test servers across multiple platforms. The software developed will range from embedded systems that support data collection in the test fleet to modules that operate in the cloud. The candidate will also assist in the development of concept products, either in vehicles or in cloud environments. This role demands strong programming skills, particularly in C++ and Python, as well as the ability to design solutions for complex problems. Given the nature of the work, the candidate will need to manage multiple projects simultaneously, necessitating excellent teamwork, planning, organization, and time management skills. The position is hybrid, requiring the candidate to work in the office three times a week, with some flexibility for domestic and international travel.

Requirements

  • +3 years of experience with software development
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (computer science or comparable)
  • Master's or PhD in Engineering (computer science or comparable) is strongly preferred
  • Proven programming experience (C/C++, Python, Java Script)
  • Expertise in Continuous Integration and automated test environments
  • Experience using REST/Swagger APIs
  • Knowledge of industry development processes like A-SPICE, ISO9001
  • Experience using GitLab/GitHub, Artifactory, Conan, Jenkins/Bamboo
  • Experience with Linux and Windows OS

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure or AWS APIs
  • Experience with CMake and cross-compilation
  • Experience with Docker and VMWare
  • Experience with CodeBeamer, Zephyr
  • Experience with Unit Tests, SIL, HIL and Simulation

Benefits

  • Salary range of $125,000 - $165,000 depending on education and experience
