About the position

The Sr. DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, implementation, and support of systems and software solutions for cloud deployment. This role involves collaborating with a team of software and IT engineers to create high-performance cloud-based solutions, ensuring security and compliance in application deployment, and adopting best practices in cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, implement, and support systems and software solutions for cloud deployment.
• Collaborate with software and IT engineers to build high-performance cloud-based solutions.
• Support the development of open architectures and applications for cloud platforms.
• Assist in software deployments using Kubernetes.
• Promote the adoption of Cloud best practices and supporting technologies for DevSecOps, Big Data/Analytics, AI, and Micro-Services.
• Architect, design, develop, troubleshoot, and implement cloud solutions.
• Work closely with the Information Technology Security team to ensure secure and compliant applications and solutions.
• Interface effectively with customer personnel at various organizational levels.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and report on task status.
• Generate preliminary and detailed designs for enhancements or modifications to existing designs.
• Perform effectively as part of a project team.
• Update containers with cyber scans.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field required.
• Active secret or top secret clearance or eligible to obtain one.
• Security+ certified or able to obtain within the first month of the job.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, Gitlab or Nexus, SonarQube, Twistlock or Prisma Cloud.
• Linux system administration experience.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience administering the above tools is preferred.
• Experience shaping RBAC permissions for multi-tenant environments, especially in DoD environments.
• Experience with writing Linux bash scripts.
• Any of the following certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), (ISC)² Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• CompTIA Cloud - Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Amazon Web Services Certified Solutions Architect -- Professional.
