Juniper's AI-Driven Enterprise (AIDE) is seeking a full-time Sr. Cloud Security Engineer to join our talented team in Cupertino! We're looking for someone who has hands-on experience, can implement solutions, is a great communicator, and already has experience in Cloud Security. You'll take Cloud Security projects from concept through to launch. You will be working on designing and implementing controls required to secure the AWS & Google Cloud Platform environments. In this role, you will build out cloud-agnostic security solutions, roll out new technology for cloud-specific security concerns, and secure AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes/Docker, and Terraform-based infrastructure. You will also secure microservices and the communication between them, design strategies around data ingestion and security event detection & protection, and work with developers on establishing and enforcing secure coding practices. Additionally, you will conduct pen tests, vulnerability scans, and web application security scans regularly and drive the remediation of security gaps.
Responsibilities
- Build out cloud-agnostic security solutions.
- Roll out new technology for cloud-specific security concerns.
- Secure AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes/Docker, and Terraform-based infrastructure.
- Secure microservices and the communication between them.
- Design strategies around data ingestion and security event detection & protection.
- Work with developers on establishing and enforcing secure coding practices.
- Conduct pen tests, vulnerability scans, and web application security scans regularly and drive the remediation of security gaps.
Requirements
- Experience in deploying and customizing security tools such as vulnerability scanners, static analyzers, SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF/firewalls, pen tests, and endpoint security monitoring.
- Strong knowledge of encryption protocols, secret management, SSO technology, etc.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform infrastructure.
- Experience with Linux server administration.
- Experience with fundamentals of networking.
- Experience developing tools with languages like Python or Go.
- Able to clearly design and communicate complex solutions and collaborate.
- Experience using CI/CD pipelines for change management and automated security testing.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, and overall industry experience of at least 7 years.
- 5+ years of experience working with a public cloud infrastructure, preferably within AWS/Google Cloud Platform security.
