About the position

The Senior DevSecOps Software Engineer III at TD Bank is a pivotal role that leads the creation of comprehensive end-to-end solutions for various projects and platforms. This position holds overall accountability for the technical design and delivery of specific technical solutions based on stakeholder requirements. As part of a transformative journey from DevOps to DevSecOps, the team is focused on changing technology and culture to enable a proactive approach to building, testing, and releasing software. The goal is to empower developers across TD to deliver value more effectively and efficiently, while instilling confidence in the solutions provided. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles, ensuring that all business requirements are met. You will provide technical expertise with a strong emphasis on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security, particularly in relation to modern DevSecOps pipelines. Your responsibilities will include planning, evaluating, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards. As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will also provide expert advice and lead in system/application administration, installation, configuration, platform planning and design, integration, and release/deployment management. You will work independently or as a lead on a diverse range of tasks, ensuring that solutions are not only effective but also aligned with the broader organizational goals and technical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of comprehensive end-to-end solutions for technology partners.
• Develop and maintain technical solutions, ensuring adherence to engineering and architectural design principles.
• Provide technical expertise focusing on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Plan, evaluate, design, operationalize, and support solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert in multiple areas and consult with clients or project teams.
• Develop and document detailed solution designs and act as an application SME throughout the design and development lifecycle.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to quality and standards compliance.
• Identify and implement improvements/solutions to enhance customer experience and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with technology partners to define metrics and performance goals for applications.
• Research and analyze business requirements to recommend optimal solutions.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree, Post Graduate degree or Technical Certificate in a relevant field.
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or a related field with a strong focus on security.
• Strong academic background in computer science or engineering.
• Proven track record in designing and implementing automation, pipeline, and security solutions.
• Deep knowledge of security tools (e.g., SAST, DAST, SCA) and CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions).
• Proficient in modern programming/scripting languages and container security.

Nice-to-haves

• Graduate degree in a relevant field is a plus.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform).
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in projects of moderate to high complexity.
