About the position

The Sr. Development Security Operations (DevSecOps) Software Engineer will play a crucial role in innovating how the customer delivers value through automation. This position requires a Top Secret clearance with Poly and focuses on creating a robust DevOps foundation to automate and configure development, test, and production environments. The role emphasizes collaboration, technical improvements, and the integration of security measures within the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in implementing DevOps methodologies in an Agile software development environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design and develop the DevOps environment, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support the Software Development Lifecycle with a focus on build and release management through automation.
  • Continuously analyze the DevOps environment for technical and process improvements.
  • Maintain deployed systems, deploy updates and fixes, and resolve technical and network issues.
  • Develop and maintain mission-critical information extraction, analysis, and management systems.
  • Participate in architecture and software development activities.
  • Translate loosely defined requirements into actionable solutions.
  • Utilize open-source technologies and tools for specific project use cases.
  • Employ coding languages or scripting methodologies to create custom workflows.
  • Collaborate with project members to address complex technological challenges.
  • Perform incremental testing on code, processes, and deployments to streamline execution.

Requirements

  • Active TS SCI with CI Poly Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline with 9 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Security+ certification
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, and/or Ansible
  • Mid/Senior level experience with Linux administration, preferably RHEL/CentOS 7 and 8
  • Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud
