About the position

The Sr. Developer - Business Intelligence & Data Warehouse role focuses on building and maintaining PowerBI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. This position requires collaboration with business unit leaders to understand their data needs and enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role also involves leading data analysis processes, ensuring data quality, and developing predictive and machine learning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains PowerBI reports.
• Design and build interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to effectively communicate insights to stakeholders.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis in PowerBI or with SQL.
• Perform data quality checks and implement data validation procedures.
• Lead the development of processes for effective data analysis and reporting.
• Partner with business unit leaders to understand their needs and develop actionable data insights.
• Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with offshore ETL/pipeline team for new data requirements and changes.
• Control and develop internal/external information sources for business analysis.
• Identify opportunities with new features of tooling.
• Promote a data-driven culture by empowering users with systems and tools.
• Provide an environment for close to real-time data analysis and reporting.
• Build out predictive and machine learning capabilities.
• Deliver identified projects to meet timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong PowerBI and SQL skills.
• Experience with Azure, Data Factory, Power Automate, Data Lake.
• Ability to work closely with users to empower them to be data-driven.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function well in team settings as well as independently.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of financial systems.
• Ability to learn new technologies and products quickly without formal instruction.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related technical discipline or equivalent combination of education/technical certifications, training, or work experience.
• Minimum five (5) years of SQL database design/development experience.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with real-time reporting.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience with business intelligence practices and software.
