The Senior Developer will participate in all phases of the development process including complex design, integration, and maintenance while observing proper behaviors, patterns, and standards. This role requires a strong leadership presence, as the Senior Developer will mentor and assist all team members, actively participating in all disciplines required in a full-stack environment. The Senior Developer will also play a crucial role in defining Stifel's best practices and ensuring their application in all development projects and procedures. In this position, the Senior Developer will work closely with the Development team through various phases of development, including design, implementation, integration, revision control, release, and maintenance of multiple products and systems. They will perform advanced discovery and research into technical problems, mapping out improvements for web applications. The role involves leading the development of procedures using test-driven development, which can be utilized within continuous integration practices. The Senior Developer will follow Stifel's coding and development standards and lead community-driven efforts to update them. Additionally, the Senior Developer will facilitate the growth of other developers through code reviews and one-on-one interactions, ensuring clear and effective documentation both within and outside of the code. They will coordinate with other team members when tackling developmental efforts and demonstrate a proactive architecture-driven approach to problem resolution, showcasing strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. The role also includes making decisions about how development environments will be used to their fullest collaborative potential and creating processes to improve the implementation of the software development life cycle (SDLC). The Senior Developer will transform mockups and wireframes into usable front-end functionality through developing, testing, and revising web application code, creating components based on user interface/user experience norms, including optimal accessibility, navigation, and cross-browser performance.
