About the position
The position primarily provides support in maintaining a GIS database for reporting purposes within the energy sector. The individual will work under the supervision of a Team Lead and will be responsible for various GIS-related tasks, including data editing, analysis, and the development of mapping solutions. This role is crucial for supporting renewable energy project development by leveraging spatial data and ensuring data integrity and maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Edit and maintain GIS data in a versioned editing environment
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and enter data into GIS
- Perform records research of specific data requests
- Perform advanced analysis of data within the GIS
- Develop procedures and instructions for new and established processes
- Report and present information and analysis to team leads in a clear, concise manner
- Understand customer requests and provide a variety of deliverables
- Support Esri mobile solution
- Develop ArcGIS Online mapping solutions
- Develop ArcGIS Apps for field data collection
- Manage data digitization, conversion, organization, and management
- Oversee geodatabase management and modification
- Create cartographic representations of spatial information
Requirements
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's Degree
- 4+ years of experience in GIS and database management
