About the position

The Sr DevOps Engineer role is focused on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure, particularly within the Google Cloud Platform. This position requires extensive experience in cloud engineering, with a strong emphasis on Kubernetes, Terraform, and scripting. The role is hybrid, allowing for a mix of remote and on-site work, and is offered on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform.
• Implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration.
• Utilize Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployments.
• Ensure cloud security practices are followed in all deployments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications with cloud services.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience as a Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong Linux skills and experience with shell scripting.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, particularly with Kubernetes and application integration.
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure concepts such as VPCs, subnets, and firewalls specific to Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with distributed systems and cloud security practices.
• Hands-on experience in scripting/programming languages like Python and shell scripting.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
