About the position

The Senior Digital Analytics Engineer at Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits is a full-stack analyst role focused on transforming raw data into actionable insights and tools that address business challenges. This position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven decision-making and improve operational efficiency. The engineer will leverage various data sources and technologies to build impactful data products and support the organization's analytics capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Translate raw data into powerful tools, services, and insights for business challenges.
• Design, build, and deliver datasets that unlock insightful information for teams across the enterprise.
• Develop and deploy data observability automation for data products.
• Aggregate and enrich datasets by developing impactful metrics and predictive features.
• Build and deploy data pipelines using SQL, Spark, and Python.
• Design and deploy different data structures for various use cases.
• Extract and utilize data through APIs and data providers.
• Stand up streaming data systems and develop data-driven alerts and monitors.
• Co-design new platform capabilities and workflows with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers on predictive modeling challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years building data pipelines using SQL, Spark, Python.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in a modern cloud environment (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• 5+ years leveraging statistical or algorithmic modeling methods.
• Experience with modern data lakehouse software like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Ability to deliver solutions with agility in complex environments.
• Experience designing and deploying data products in an analytics cloud platform.
• Superb interpersonal skills for building relationships in a distributed model.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in marketing and digital advertising, ecommerce, mobile apps, supply chain, sales, logistics, or finance.
• Familiarity with AI/automation tools for data delivery.
