About the position

The Digital Banking team at BankUnited is seeking a skilled individual to solve business problems through innovative digital solutions. This role involves applying expertise across the software development lifecycle while collaborating with various stakeholders. The focus is on enhancing the digital banking platform for small business customers, including mobile applications and web interfaces, in a culture that values experimentation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate product vision and MVP.
• Create and prioritize product roadmap.
• Conduct vendor comparison and selection.
• Engage with multiple stakeholders to prioritize deliverables.
• Understand and define stakeholders' needs.
• Facilitate communication between business and IT.
• Identify gaps between customer requirements and development team capabilities.
• Groom release backlog using user story writing and mapping.
• Assist the Product Manager in preparing the definition of 'ready'.
• Create functional decompositions and flow charts.
• Iterate designs and provide feedback with the UX/UI team.
• Conduct competitor analysis and create business cases.
• Collect user requirements and feedback from stakeholders.
• Document user requirements in standard format for development teams.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and maintain JIRA user stories and epics.
• Assist the Product Manager with iteration-level decision making.
• Articulate and communicate the Product Owner's vision clearly.
• Participate in Communities of Practice to ensure collaboration.
• Break down epics into user stories.
• Test user stories for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) events.
• Develop, track, and present key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior leaders.
• Coordinate and track progress of test script writing and execution.
• Analyze trends in defects and report findings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant business experience required.
• 4 - 6 years experience delivering complex projects in an Agile methodology required.
• 4 - 6 years experience leveraging tools such as JIRA / Confluence required.
• Understanding of software quality assurance testing, script writing and execution, traceability matrix, and defect tracking.

Nice-to-haves

• Banking Industry or Fintech experience preferred.
• Agile certifications (CSM, CSPO, PSM, PSPO) preferred.
