About the position

As a Senior Digital Product Manager at BJ's Wholesale Club, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital experience for our members. You will be responsible for driving the Distributed Order Management roadmap, which is essential for supporting our overall digital business. This includes managing the order management, routing, and optimization capabilities that are crucial for enhancing our members' shopping experience. Your focus will be on the post-purchase digital experience, which encompasses returns, member care, and communications. You will ensure that our members have clear visibility into their order statuses from start to finish, leveraging cross-channel transactional communication through email, SMS, and push notifications. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to gather and transform business needs into actionable product requirements. You will develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with our strategic goals and enhances the digital fulfillment ecosystem. Your ability to lead and manage stakeholder expectations will be critical as you plan and estimate the level of effort required to deliver and launch new products. You will also be expected to think big and influence across all levels of the organization, ensuring that our digital initiatives are successful and impactful. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in product management, particularly within the retail or e-commerce sectors. You should have a deep understanding of the online shopper funnel and experience in managing a distributed order management ecosystem. Your data-driven decision-making skills will enable you to analyze quantitative data effectively, guiding your product strategies and initiatives. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as you will be required to articulate your vision and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve our objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the Distributed Order Management roadmap to support the overall digital business.
  • Manage the order management, routing, and optimization capabilities.
  • Oversee the post-purchase digital experience, including returns, member care, and communications.
  • Develop and implement a cross-channel transactional communication roadmap leveraging email, SMS, and push notifications.
  • Gather and transform business needs into product requirements and develop an actionable product roadmap.
  • Lead and manage stakeholder expectations, planning and estimating the level of effort required to deliver and launch products.
  • Influence across all levels of the organization to ensure successful digital initiatives.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing, eCommerce fulfillment, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in product management, retail, consulting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a distributed order management ecosystem, providing product management support for OMS, Order Routing, Communication services, and Contact Center capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of the digital fulfillment ecosystem.
  • Understanding of the online shopper funnel.
  • Experience in gathering and transforming business needs into product requirements and developing actionable product roadmap.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, manage stakeholder expectations, and plan and estimate the level of effort required to deliver and launch a product.
  • Demonstrated ability to own projects, think big, and influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Ecommerce experience with a focus on Omni Channel capabilities.
  • Data-driven decision-making or quantitative analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, agile.
