About the position

The Sr. Director, BSA/AML Chief of Staff and Transformation is responsible for assisting the Chief BSA/AML Officer in decision-making processes, advising on BSA/AML & OFAC matters, and executing improvements to internal processes and compliance program requirements. This role involves managing large complex strategic programs that significantly impact business viability across multiple disciplines. The incumbent must possess advanced skills in compliance, finance, leadership, and communication, and will report directly to the Chief BSA/AML Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Chief BSA/AML Officer in decision-making processes.
  • Act as an advisor on BSA/AML & OFAC matters.
  • Review, design, and execute improvements to internal processes.
  • Ensure compliance with legal regulations and best practices.
  • Manage large complex strategic programs with significant business impact.
  • Oversee and represent AML Compliance in strategic initiatives.
  • Communicate with stakeholders including IT, Operations, and Independent Auditors.
  • Prepare budgets and financial reports related to AML compliance.
  • Report on the health and overall program efforts with metrics and analytics.
  • Facilitate Steering Committee and Executive Committee meetings.
  • Coordinate with HR for staff recruitment and development.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors.
  • Coordinate independent testing requests for information/documentation.
  • Monitor activities to minimize company exposure to risk.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent field (required).
  • 12+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, or Financial Services.
  • Previous experience in AML, BSA, and/or OFAC compliance is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in senior compliance and/or operations management within the securities or banking industry.
  • Advanced understanding of Enterprise Compliance Risk Management and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple projects and timelines.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Business, or equivalent field (preferred).
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting, and reporting.
