About the position

The position involves participating in the growth and development of a sales distribution network that is capable of consistently selling out plant capacity and meeting sales and market share goals while also achieving profit goals. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including improving market penetration, adding or improving distribution channels, entering and developing new markets, and expanding in-house direct sales capabilities. The individual will work to ensure that in-house salespeople have the necessary resources to meet sales goals effectively and cost-efficiently. Additionally, the role requires supporting, developing, and implementing strategic sales and marketing plans in cooperation with other departments. This collaboration aims to align the strengths of the organization with market opportunities to maximize profit, return on investment (ROI), and value for stakeholders. The development of all product lines in response to market demands is also a critical aspect of this position. The individual will be responsible for developing and supervising all in-house Sales Administrative personnel and activities. This includes tasks such as quote preparation, managing releases and shipments, overseeing sales promotions and advertising, and handling external communications with dealers, representatives, and other outside entities. Public relations and announcements will also fall under this role as needed. Direct participation in sales and sales support calls to both internal and external customers is expected, along with interaction with customers and interdepartmental collaboration to promote the company's sales and marketing efforts. The individual must perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate manner, contributing to the team effort to produce a quality product. Leading commercial needs for quoting enhancements through Ruler development and ensuring that relevant sales and marketing items are updated in the CRM system are also key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the growth and development of a sales distribution network.
  • Improve market penetration (depth and breadth) and add/improve distribution channels.
  • Enter and develop new markets/areas and expand in-house direct sales capabilities.
  • Support, develop, and implement strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Develop and supervise all in-house Sales Administrative personnel and activities.
  • Participate directly in sales and sales support calls to internal and external customers.
  • Interact with customers and interdepartmentally to promote sales and marketing efforts.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product.
  • Lead commercial needs for quoting enhancements through Ruler development.
  • Ensure relevant sales and marketing items are updated into CRM.

Requirements

  • Experience in sales and marketing, particularly in developing distribution networks.
  • Strong understanding of market penetration strategies and sales channel development.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Experience in supervising sales administrative personnel and activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
