About the position

The Sr Director of Commercial Operations at Stoughton Trailers is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to enhance market penetration and achieve sales goals. This role involves overseeing the sales distribution network, managing in-house sales personnel, and ensuring effective communication with customers and internal teams. The position requires a strong focus on maximizing profit and value for stakeholders while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the growth and development of a sales distribution network to meet sales and market share goals.
  • Support, develop, and implement strategic sales and marketing plans in cooperation with other departments.
  • Develop and supervise all in-house Sales Administrative personnel and activities.
  • Participate directly in sales calls to internal and external customers and promote company sales efforts.
  • Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate manner according to company policy.
  • Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product.
  • Lead Commercial needs for quoting enhancements through Ruler development.
  • Ensure relevant sales and marketing items are updated into CRM and enhance its usage.
  • Enhance Customer Service processes and CRM utilization.
  • Create warranty analytics reporting and registration processes.
  • Brief executive team on sales conditions as needed.
  • Establish pricing standards for Dealer/Direct channels.
  • Maintain historical and current data to establish sales trends for marketing decisions.
  • Attend weekly sales meetings and maintain stock inventory for salespeople and dealers.
  • Participate in the annual dealer meeting and work in a team environment.

Requirements

  • 4-year business degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years previous experience in sales, marketing, and commercial operations.
  • Transportation industry experience preferred.
  • Extensive CRM experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills and knowledge of business growth strategies.
