About the position

The Senior Director, Creative and Strategy at SharkNinja is a hybrid leadership role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on creative execution. This position is responsible for driving the development and execution of innovative creative strategies that align with the company's product innovation vision and business goals. The ideal candidate will inspire teams, develop compelling concepts, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, impactful creative work across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of creative strategies that drive breakthrough product storytelling, customer engagement, and business growth.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and creative teams to align creative strategies with broader business objectives and market trends.
  • Utilize market research, consumer insights, and data analytics to inform and refine creative strategies.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of high-impact creative concepts across all brand touchpoints, including digital, social, print, and experiential.
  • Lead and inspire a team of designers, copywriters, and art directors to produce innovative and compelling work.
  • Provide hands-on creative direction and feedback, ensuring all creative outputs are on-brand and visually captivating.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure creative strategies are effectively integrated into broader campaigns.
  • Partner with digital and social media teams to develop content strategies that maximize engagement.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to augment internal creative capabilities.
  • Ensure the consistency and integrity of the SharkNinja brand across all creative executions.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of brand guidelines.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and cultural shifts to inform creative strategies.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the team.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary creative team.
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new creative talent.
  • Manage the end-to-end execution of creative projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Design, Fine Arts, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, with a strong background in both creative strategy and hands-on execution.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative strategies that drive brand growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary creative teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Deep understanding of current creative trends, technologies, and best practices in digital and social marketing.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing innovative and impactful creative work across various platforms.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard creative software and tools.
