About the position

The Sr. Director of Cybersecurity Operations at Teradata is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and enhancing the company's cybersecurity efforts. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to balance security needs with business objectives. The director will lead a global team in monitoring and responding to cybersecurity threats, ensuring the protection of Teradata's digital assets and intellectual property while fostering a culture of security awareness across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Security Operations Center (SOC) team, ensuring effective training and collaboration among team members.
• Provide strategic and tactical security guidance for all security operations projects, including evaluating and recommending technical controls.
• Oversee the deployment, management, and optimization of cybersecurity operations technologies, including threat management and incident response.
• Develop and manage Teradata's cybersecurity incident response program, coordinating immediate responses to security incidents.
• Manage detection and response capabilities, ensuring appropriate visibility and tuning of detection platforms.
• Define and implement threat intelligence processes to enhance security operations.
• Run a comprehensive Vulnerability Management program to ensure accurate data and swift remediation processes.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks, developing risk management strategies.
• Develop business-relevant metrics to measure the efficiency of the security operations program.
• Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support security initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and develop security policies and procedures.
• Promote security awareness through training and education programs across the organization.
• Evaluate and implement security technologies to enhance operations.
• Engage in ethical hacking to identify potential weaknesses in security measures.
• Stay current with the latest information security risks and emerging threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years in leadership roles within the information security or cybersecurity field.
• Demonstrated experience in information security operations and cybersecurity technologies.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as EDR, SOC, NDR, SIEM, SOAR, XDR, IAM, Zero Trust Security, and CSPM.
• Knowledge of security and control frameworks such as ISO/IEC 27001, PCI, HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, ITIL, SOX, and GDPR.
