About the position

The Applications Developer at Children's Mercy is a technology subject matter expert responsible for the analysis, design, engineering, development, and implementation of software projects within the ServiceNow enterprise application suite. This role involves collaborating with key stakeholders to gather requirements, develop core functionalities, and ensure adherence to development best practices. The ideal candidate will also provide technical leadership, perform peer code reviews, and support the ITSM applications.

Responsibilities

• Participate in platform maturity initiatives as a contributor or leader in integrations, development, and implementation.
• Engage directly with application owners to gather requirements and design solutions.
• Produce design documents and perform system and integration testing.
• Participate in Continual Service Improvement deliveries.
• Develop and implement dashboards to identify trends and service improvement opportunities.
• Implement request and incident forms, managing data flows to assist service teams.
• Manage the ServiceNow instance, ensuring overall security and configuring Service Level Agreements.
• Provide advanced support and guidance to ITSM Practice Analysts and ServiceNow Admins.
• Prepare for and participate in control reviews and internal/external audit engagements.
• Respond to user issues and questions and apply data health skills across the platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years' experience, or a High School diploma with 7 or more years' experience.
• ServiceNow System Administrator Certification preferred at hire, required within 180 days.
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v3 or v4 Foundation preferred.
• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or equivalent preferred.
