About the position

The Sr. Director of National Resilience and Security Solutions at GDIT is responsible for leading the business operations at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other key security functions within the Department of Homeland Security. This role focuses on enhancing national resilience through risk analysis, hazard mapping, and IT operations for critical FEMA applications, ensuring effective delivery of solutions that support national preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee GDIT's FEMA account, focusing on risk analysis, hazard mapping, and IT operations for critical FEMA applications.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that align with FEMA's mission to enhance national resilience.
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of programs, ensuring delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and compliance with contract requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with FEMA stakeholders to understand and anticipate evolving needs and mission requirements.
  • Drive business development efforts to expand GDIT's footprint within FEMA, including identifying new opportunities and managing contract negotiations.
  • Lead a team of program managers, technical experts, and business development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
  • Monitor program performance, financial metrics, and resource allocation to achieve business and mission objectives.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advise internal teams and clients on emerging solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading programs or business units in a federal contracting environment, with specific experience in FEMA or similar organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk analysis, hazard mapping, and IT operations and maintenance.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale IT programs and delivering solutions that support federal clients' mission-critical applications.
  • Strong business development acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and win contracts within the federal sector.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with experience managing multidisciplinary teams and engaging with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and experience managing contracts in compliance with government standards.
  • Active clearance or the ability to obtain one.
