About the position
The Sr. Director Finance Transformation - Order-to-Cash (OTC) is a pivotal role within NBCUniversal, particularly in the context of the SAP S/4 HANA implementation known as "Project Keystone." This position is designed for a leader who will collaborate with various teams across the global NBCU Finance and Technology organizations, playing a crucial role in the digital transformation of finance from the design phase through to deployment. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring that the design decisions made are inclusive, that change management processes are effective, and that substantial transformation is achieved throughout the organization. In this role, the Sr. Director will leverage their extensive experience in transforming legacy Order to Cash processes and technology environments within large, complex enterprises. They will provide strategic insights based on their subject matter expertise in SAP S/4 functionality, data design, and migration specific to OTC processes. The position requires interfacing with various horizontal workstreams, including Data, IT, Risk and Controls, as well as the Sub-ledger workstreams and the S/4 leadership team. The Sr. Director will be responsible for capturing and analyzing business processes, workflows, policies, master data elements, and functionality related to the current ECC solution, translating OTC needs into the design of SAP S/4 solutions. Additionally, the Sr. Director will eloquently translate finance functional requirements to technical teams for development, participate in fit-to-standard workshops, and drive solutions for established gaps. They will play a key role in building stakeholder consensus, ensuring that all parties are aligned and can comprehend the proposed solutions. As a change agent for the SAP S/4 transformation, the Sr. Director will also evaluate third-party solutions as alternatives to custom development where SAP recommends such options. This position is not only about technical expertise but also about fostering collaboration and ensuring that the transformation aligns with the broader goals of NBCUniversal.
Responsibilities
- Lead the transformation of legacy Order to Cash processes and technology environments in a large complex enterprise.
- Provide strategic thinking based on subject matter expertise with SAP S/4 functionality, data design, and migration for OTC processes.
- Interface with horizontal workstreams (Data, IT, Risk and Controls), Sub-ledger workstreams, S/4 leadership team, and System Integrators to capture and analyze business processes, workflows, policies, master data elements, and functionality related to the current ECC solution.
- Translate OTC needs into the design of SAP S/4 solutions.
- Translate finance functional requirements to technical teams for development.
- Participate in fit-to-standard workshops and drive solutioning for established gaps.
- Participate in workshops and sessions around data migration design and validation.
- Build stakeholder consensus and ensure alignment on proposed solutions.
- Act as a change agent for the SAP S/4 transformation.
- Evaluate third-party solutions as alternatives to custom development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Information Systems.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in relevant fields.
- 5+ years of experience in the media, direct-to-consumer, or entertainment industry.
- 5+ years of professional work experience in an SAP ecosystem preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of SAP business processes.
- Strong understanding of agile project management with a record of on-time delivery.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in organizational change management.
- Solution-driven and results-oriented.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills within functional and technical areas.
- Ability to represent NBCU with third-party implementors with a collaborative mindset.
