About the position

The Sr. Director of Fulfillment Operations at Saddle Creek Logistics Services is responsible for overseeing all operations within a high-volume fulfillment center, ensuring customer service excellence, leadership, safety, employee morale, and continuous improvement. This strategic role involves managing financial performance, optimizing processes, and collaborating with clients to meet their business needs while supporting other locations and projects to achieve overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction for the fulfillment teams
  • Provides strategic support and leadership to additional sites and projects
  • Creates and manages the location's financial budget, including multiple clients and sites
  • Continuously evaluates, measures, and refines processes to improve service, quality, and efficiency
  • Achieves client success through direct communication and interactions, managing SLA attainment, and providing rapid responses to concerns
  • Contributes to strategic alignment outlined by senior leadership, including solutioning, pricing, and contract reviews
  • Incorporates LEAN practices and methodologies
  • Improves employee satisfaction through better working conditions and proactive communication
  • Develops, coaches, and mentors staff
  • Provides prompt and accurate reporting in alignment with financial reporting standards
  • Works closely with the business development team to support new client solutions and pricing
  • Identifies new business opportunities and implements solutions within the existing customer base
  • Manages value-added services such as call center and reverse logistics
  • Manages relationships with vendors and corporate cross-functional teams
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintains strong safety and facility cleanliness programs
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of systems, including WMS, CRM, OMS, TMS
  • Leads and supports the implementation of new and upgraded systems

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or related field
  • 7-10+ years of leadership experience, with 5 years in a multi-channel order fulfillment business environment
  • Prior experience with order fulfillment automation and technology
  • Working knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and parcel management systems
  • Solid understanding of business financial management (budgets, profit and loss, forecasting/planning)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to perform complex business analysis and critical thinking
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from stakeholders
  • Ability to analyze and interpret policies and contracts
  • Ability to travel 20% - 30%
