About the position

The Sr. Director, Global Creative Services will spearhead the strategic vision and execution of the company's creative initiatives, driving brand excellence and innovation on a global scale. This role is integral to shaping the company's identity through dynamic concept development, impactful design, and comprehensive brand management. The successful candidate will lead the creative/design direction for the company's brand while managing operations of the internal creative services department. This includes establishing creative direction and developing brand positioning/voice and design concepts that align with the global business objectives of the organization and advance the global brand strategy. In this role, you will lead and manage a creative team responsible for product packaging, catalogs, websites, social media, presentation design, video production, and all print collateral. You will work closely with the creative team to generate ideas for pitching and proposals to management, lead creative sessions for project kick-offs, and supervise and inspire the creative team, including vendors and partners. Additionally, you will own and drive the creative calendar, ensuring the creation, maintenance, and delivery of detailed creative project plans, strategic initiative launches, and internal department needs. Quality control is a critical aspect of this position, as you will manage multiple projects from concept through completion, aligning and coordinating daily tasks while assigning appropriate workloads to graphic designers and content writers. You will also be responsible for sourcing, training, and developing creative and production personnel to meet growing demands, as well as managing freelance copywriters, artists, and designers. Liaising with development and marketing groups to strengthen distributor experience and ensuring quality control for all marketing materials will be essential to your success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative/design direction for the company's brand while managing operations of the internal creative services department.

  • Adhere to and actively manage a consistent, cohesive calendar and budget with appropriate lead times.
  • Ensure quality control for all marketing materials.
  • Develop and maintain competitive and equitable vendor partnerships with strict quality and content standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, fine arts, or related field plus 10+ years of progressively responsible work experience related to corporate branding and identities, marketing collateral, print layout, ecommerce design, web design, and video production.
  • Exceptional creativity, an eye for detail, technical skills, organization and file management skills, communication skills, presentation design skills, and strategic thinking ability.
  • Experience working for both agencies and in-house.
  • Strong portfolio of hands-on design and art direction, preferably with strong print, packaging, and ecommerce pieces.
  • Strong understanding of digital and current social media platforms and their use within marketing.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a multi-project design/production environment.
  • Track record of successful design and integration, delivering projects on-time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of corporate branding, layout, color theory, and typography in both print and digital media.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and proven organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design and video creation tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, After Effects, Premier, Final Cut Pro, Sketch, InVision, and Microsoft Office applications.

Nice-to-haves
