About the position

As the Sr. Director of HR Operations at Moderna, you will lead global HR operations, focusing on service delivery, process documentation, compliance, vendor management, and data reporting. This role involves designing and implementing an advanced HR operations strategy to enhance the effectiveness and scalability of HR services, driving transformation through innovative digital and AI technologies. You will oversee a globally dispersed team and contribute to fostering a performance-driven, employee-centric culture aligned with Moderna's growth.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive global HR operations strategy aligned with Moderna's growth plans.
  • Articulate the strategic value of investments in HR Operations.
  • Build and manage the HR operational infrastructure focusing on scalable, centralized, and decentralized support models.
  • Partner with HR leaders and COEs to refine existing HR processes and systems, identifying standardization and automation opportunities.
  • Lead the HR Operations Tier 1 team, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Develop escalation paths for resolving HR Ops service delivery issues and create metrics-based tools to assess performance.
  • Oversee the maintenance of Moderna's HR data foundations and architecture.
  • Monitor HR Ops 'Health' Dashboards, providing timely data on HR processes and systems.
  • Lead HR Knowledge Management to document global processes, SOPs, guidelines, and policies.
  • Manage global HR vendor performance, ensuring compliance and budget adherence.
  • Partner with Digital teams to evaluate and upgrade HR technology infrastructure.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to gauge the success of technology deployments and prioritize action plans.
  • Partner with Legal during new country expansions to ensure compliance with processes and policies.
  • Lead the HR Compliance Program to minimize risk and ensure timely submission of reports to government agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in HR operations or HR technology, focusing on strategic planning and global process optimization.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in designing and implementing HR technology solutions in a global organization.
