As the Sr. Director of HR Operations at Moderna, you will be responsible for leading our global HR operations, encompassing HR service delivery, process documentation and execution, knowledge management, audit and compliance, vendor management, and data and reporting. This role demands the design and implementation of an advanced HR operations strategy to augment the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of HR services across the organization. You will drive the transformation and optimization of HR processes and infrastructure through cutting-edge solutions, including the seamless integration of innovative digital and AI technologies. Reporting to the Executive Director, HR Operations, you will lead a globally dispersed team and will play an integral role in fostering a performance-driven, employee-centric culture that is in line with Moderna's growth. The ideal candidate will have robust experience in HR systems, process design, transformation, continuous improvement, and leadership of global operations. You will design and implement a comprehensive global HR operations strategy aligned with Moderna's growth plans, articulating the strategic value of investments in HR Operations. Building and managing the HR operational infrastructure will be a key focus, enhancing agility and efficiency through scalable, centralized, and decentralized support models. You will partner with HR leaders and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to continuously refine existing HR processes and systems, identifying standardization and automation opportunities while tailoring solutions to accommodate local regulations and specificities. Leading the HR Operations Tier 1 team, you will cultivate an environment of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaborative effort. You will develop escalation paths for resolving HR Ops service delivery issues and create metrics-based tools to assess and elevate the performance and value of HR services. Additionally, you will oversee the maintenance of Moderna's HR data foundations and architecture, monitoring the HR Ops Health Dashboards to provide timely and accurate data on the quality of HR processes and systems, identifying and resolving issues before they impact the business. Your role will also involve leading HR Knowledge Management to ensure that global processes, SOPs, guidelines, and policies are documented in a way that optimizes and enables AI-driven enhancements and integrations. You will manage global HR vendor relationships, ensuring compliance and budget adherence while elevating vendor performance. Partnering with Digital teams, you will evaluate and upgrade the HR technology infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the global organization, utilizing HR metrics and analytics to gauge the success of new technology deployments or enhancements. Finally, you will partner with Legal during new country expansions to embed appropriate processes and policies, staying abreast of legislative changes to ensure ongoing compliance. Leading the HR Compliance Program will be essential to minimize risk and ensure accurate and timely submission of required reports to government agencies.
