About the position

The Sr. Director of HR Talent Acquisition & Development at Scientific Games is a pivotal role that encompasses leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence within the Human Resources function. This position is responsible for leading a team of HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition professionals, ensuring that value-added services are delivered throughout the employee life cycle, which includes hiring, onboarding, talent development, engagement initiatives, and offboarding. The Sr. Director will drive a high level of engagement within the team, fostering a culture of communication and supporting career growth among team members. In addition to team leadership, the role involves managing the Talent Acquisition team with a strategic focus on identifying, attracting, and hiring high-caliber talent both locally and globally. The Sr. Director will measure and report on Talent Acquisition analytics to inform strategies and plans, collaborating closely with business leaders to implement talent planning and reward programs that align with a progressive succession and organizational planning process. This includes overseeing complex matters related to candidate experience, interview, and hiring practices to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all candidates. The position also requires the creation and deployment of a global talent development strategy and toolkit, forging partnerships with people leaders at every level of the organization. This alignment of the people strategy with the business vision and drivers of value and profitability is crucial for the success of the organization. The Sr. Director will partner with People Operations and Compensation & Benefits leaders to establish a global framework for the collaborative delivery of the HR vision. Furthermore, the role emphasizes culture, compliance, and risk management. The Sr. Director will exemplify Scientific Games' values and hold others accountable, ensuring that employee goals are aligned with the organization's vision, mission, and values. Collaborating with legal counsel and People Operations, the Sr. Director will navigate complex employment issues, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements across jurisdictions. Establishing best practices to prioritize employee health and safety is also a key responsibility of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition professionals to deliver value-added services throughout the employee life cycle.
  • Drive a high level of engagement on the team, building culture and supporting career growth.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners, HR COEs, Legal, and various stakeholders globally to provide strategic consultation and support on organizational issues.
  • Manage the Talent Acquisition team, taking a strategic approach to identifying, attracting, and hiring high-caliber talent.
  • Measure and report on Talent Acquisition analytics to inform strategies and plans.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to implement talent planning and reward programs linked with succession and organizational planning processes.
  • Oversee complex matters related to candidate experience, interview, and hiring practices.
  • Create and deploy a global talent development strategy and toolkit.
  • Forge business partnerships with people leaders to align people strategy with business vision and profitability drivers.
  • Partner with People Operations and Compensation & Benefits leaders to establish a global HR vision framework.
  • Ensure compliance with international, federal, state, and local legal requirements regarding employment issues.
  • Establish best practices to prioritize employee health and safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Human Resources or related field required.
  • 10+ years' Human Resources experience.
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Experience leading a global team or overseeing a global function.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • Experience with Human Resource Management software.
