About the position

The Sr. Director, Market Access Marketing at Pacira BioSciences is responsible for leading the marketing payer and reimbursement strategy for the company's portfolio. This role focuses on ensuring that Pacira is well-positioned to deliver on its corporate vision and mission by developing and executing effective marketing strategies that address the needs of payers and enhance patient access to non-opioid pain management solutions. The position requires collaboration across various functions and aims to improve health outcomes while maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders in the healthcare system.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the development and execution of the market access and reimbursement marketing strategy for Pacira BioSciences.
  • Provide insights on the US Managed Markets to support the corporate value strategy.
  • Define clinical and economic outcome requirements for payer strategy.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop credible HEOR messaging.
  • Create robust commercial payer messaging and materials to communicate the portfolio's value proposition.
  • Develop reimbursement resources to support field sales engagement with key stakeholders.
  • Support regional payer determinations for field sales pull-through.
  • Build and manage campaigns to communicate favorable reimbursement status.
  • Serve as a liaison between field teams and Access Marketing.
  • Identify new opportunities and set objectives and strategies to achieve financial and strategic goals.
  • Establish metrics to track progress and quantify impact.
  • Build and implement innovative tools to enhance customer engagement and product access.
  • Track and manage budgets, forecasts, and assumptions.
  • Understand market trends in pain management to develop critical insights for value and access strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; MBA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive responsibility in sales and/or marketing for hospital pharmaceutical or medical device.
  • Minimum 5 years of in-line brand management experience in pharmaceutical or medical device marketing, with extensive experience in market access, value, pricing, and reimbursement.
  • Significant experience in senior management roles, preferably with at least 5 years in a Senior Market Access and Value Leadership position.
  • Substantial product launch market access experience, including strategy development and field sales engagement.
  • Proven track record of identifying product advantages and market requirements to create impactful value propositions.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills and ability to craft strategic options and solve complex problems.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and drive execution across functional areas.
  • Strong project and process management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry with a focus on pain management.
