About the position

The Sr. Director, Marketing is responsible for leading a team of experienced marketers to develop and implement marketing strategies for LexisNexis's Large Law and Law School businesses. This role involves strategic marketing planning, program development, and execution aimed at driving business outcomes, customer retention, and new sales. The position requires collaboration across functions and levels, focusing on innovative marketing plans and effective communication to enhance brand equity and market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve product expertise and understand customer personas in the large law and law schools' markets.
  • Lead the development of innovative marketing plans to drive lead and revenue growth, retention, and brand equity.
  • Collaborate with segment peers to ensure business outcome-focused plan development and execution.
  • Craft a meaningful brand story that highlights competitive differentiators and reflects the Voice of Customer.
  • Lead strategic events initiatives to drive sales opportunities and promote thought leadership.
  • Manage the marketing team, developing their skills and inspiring strong execution.
  • Improve marketing effectiveness through A/B testing and piloting new programs and technology.
  • Establish and achieve marketing expense budget goals aligned with business objectives.
  • Provide visibility to senior leadership on key performance metrics and goals.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in communications, marketing, or business; MBA or JD preferred.
  • 10+ years of B-to-B marketing experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology solutions company.
  • Solid knowledge of LexisNexis systems and services preferred.
  • Proficiency in leveraging artificial intelligence technologies for marketing initiatives.
  • Ability to design and execute marketing plans in a matrix environment.
  • Knowledge of marketing mix concepts such as brand positioning and customer segmentation.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing large integrated marketing campaigns on time and within budget.
  • Comfortable making data-driven decisions and reporting results.
