About the position

The Sr. Director, Marketing for the Leavitt School of Health at WGU is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to enhance brand development and increase student enrollment in health professions programs. This role requires collaboration with senior leaders, managing significant budgets, and ensuring accountability for performance outcomes. The position serves as a vital link between marketing communications and the academic organization, focusing on audience insights and competitive analysis to drive growth strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a direct budget of $5-10M dedicated to school-specific brand development and growth initiatives.
  • Build relationships of trust with executive leaders across the academic organization and facilitate strong cross-organizational information sharing.
  • Act as the expert in all marketing and communications activities influencing portfolio performance.
  • Represent MarCom in cross-functional reporting and demonstrate strong accountability for performance.
  • Assist with setting school-specific performance targets and provide regular reporting and insights to drive KPIs.
  • Work closely with internal and agency teams to ensure campaign needs are met accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Significant client or key stakeholder management experience.
  • Executive-level communication ability, both verbal and written.
  • Strong quantitative and strategic analysis skills to identify trends and opportunities.
