About the position

The position involves developing and implementing marketing strategies for Smith+Nephew's US knee arthroplasty portfolio, including robotics and PSI technologies. The role requires a deep understanding of the market landscape, customer priorities, and competitive dynamics to effectively craft go-to-market plans and annual marketing strategies. The individual will collaborate with various teams to drive market penetration, manage product launches, and support sales efforts through effective tools and resources.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement go-to-market plans for the US knee portfolio including robotics and PSI technologies.
  • Build and present annual marketing plans to the VP of US Marketing Ortho.
  • Participate in monthly reviews of progress and support the annual business planning process.
  • Build and supervise key performance indicators in the US and lead remediation efforts for market penetration.
  • Deploy pricing guidelines into the US market and lead the pricing exceptions process.
  • Lead all aspects of new product launch execution activities including channel readiness and local training.
  • Partner with the sales team to define effective customer targeting and develop physician champions.
  • Work with the Medical Education team to develop resources for customer product training requirements.
  • Support industry educational meetings, on-site customer meetings, and national sales meetings.

Requirements

  • 10 years of business experience in marketing with at least 5 years in leadership roles and 3+ years in orthopedic marketing.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and team-building skills.
  • Strategic problem solver with the ability to anticipate future issues and business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to various audiences.
  • Aptitude for positioning products effectively in the market.
  • Knowledge of market research methodologies and sales/marketing principles.
  • Proficiency in analytical tools and software for data analysis and forecasting.
