About the position

The Sr. Director of Business Development and Product Management at JBT is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth and profitability of product lines through strategic initiatives and comprehensive product management. This position requires a visionary leader with a strong background in sales, marketing, and product strategy, capable of identifying market opportunities and leading cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. The role involves engaging with large enterprise customers on automation projects and defining the strategic roadmap supported by technology and new revenue models.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth, margin expansion, and market share growth.
  • Lead the product management team in defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
  • Align product strategies with overall business objectives and market demands.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and customer needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch performance.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and sales teams to ensure product alignment with market needs.
  • Manage product pricing, positioning, and competitive analysis.
  • Lead the sales team to develop sales strategies and support key sales initiatives for large enterprise accounts.
  • Develop marketing plans and promotional strategies to drive product awareness and adoption.
  • Lead the full adoption of Salesforce for prospecting and opportunity management.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing business development and product management team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in business development, sales, and product management.
  • Proven success track record of driving business growth and managing successful product portfolios.
  • Experience in business transformation and fast growth environments driven by technology and innovation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities in high-pressure environments.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen and proficiency in P&L analysis.
