About the position

The Sr. Director of Commercial Insights and Operations at Legend Biotech is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving commercial and financial success through data analytics, forecasting, and market insights. This position involves collaboration with various internal teams and external partners, particularly Janssen, to enhance the commercial potential of the CARVYKTI asset. The role requires a strong focus on market research, business intelligence, and team leadership to support the company's objectives in the pharmaceutical industry.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with alliance counterparts to develop forecasts for CARVYKTI, ensuring they are well-structured and documented.
  • Assist leadership in identifying actionable insights to enhance commercial potential by prioritizing risks and opportunities.
  • Conduct analyses of competitors and market dynamics to improve forecasting models and guide strategic decisions.
  • Support brand strategy development by integrating insights from various functions to form a cohesive perspective.
  • Utilize advanced simulation models to quantify uncertainty in forecasting.
  • Leverage diverse pharmaceutical data sources to develop advanced forecasting methodologies.
  • Direct the design of market research studies to validate forecast assumptions and patient populations.
  • Lead market research initiatives for CAR-T markets in collaboration with JNJ.
  • Establish market research priorities through cross-functional workstreams.
  • Address critical business insights to inform brand strategy and tactics in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Develop treatment flow maps, conduct market segmentation, and create positioning campaigns based on market research.
  • Conduct primary research involving various stakeholders to gain insights into market access trends.
  • Oversee vendors to ensure alignment with business objectives in research methodologies and project execution.
  • Present and facilitate discussions on research results and insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute market research plans and budgets to support brand strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Financial Management, or related field; MS or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in consulting, equity research, forecasting, market research, and business intelligence in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
  • 4+ years of experience in hiring and managing a team with performance planning.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
