About the position

Identify, analyze, and manage the overall data and technology infrastructure strategies supporting Georgia Tech Human Resources (GTHR) 's current and future state operations. Ensure HR data integrity and security through process improvement, documentation, and training. Implement, coordinate, and improve data quality, access, use, and security processes. Oversee the improvement of HR data tracking, analysis, and visualization. Responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance, providing feedback, and making pay recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the human resources information systems access, planning, support, development, and maintenance.
  • Responsible for assessing and meeting the GTHR unit's data analysis, tracking, and visualization needs and delivering timely and quality solutions.
  • Analyze the system needs of all HR sections, establish priorities, and identify and research appropriate technical solutions for various computerized activities, including document imaging, key performance indicators, dashboards, and vacancy management.
  • Consult and advise Human Resources (HR) directors/managers of current and future systems.
  • Oversee the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) project calendar and departmental training needs, with a focus on data analysis and visualization skills.
  • Serve as the HR contact and subject matter expert for the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and other sources of HR data, overseeing related integrations, reports, and file transfers.
  • Serve as liaison to the University System of Georgia (USG), the Institute's Office of Information Technology, outside vendors, and other users of GTHR data.
  • Lead business process improvement efforts within GTHR.
  • Manage human resources information systems staff, make hiring decisions, provide coaching, training, and mentoring, manage performance, and determine staffing needs.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ten years of job-related experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience with Workday (configuration, reporting, integration).
  • Strong ERP experience, particularly in HR and finance systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in data stewardship, managing and ensuring the quality and accuracy of HR-related data.
  • Expertise in HR analytics, with the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.
  • Leadership experience with a track record of successfully leading teams that support HR systems, data analytics, and LMS.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including system administration, configuration, and optimization.
