About the position

The position is for a Product Management Leader at F5, specifically within the BIG-IP product group. This role is crucial for driving innovation and delivering industry-leading products in application delivery and security across various market segments. The leader will manage a geographically distributed team of product owners, set long-term business goals, and ensure the successful execution of product strategies that enhance customer experiences in the digital world.

Responsibilities

  • Set long term business goals for the next generation of F5 BIG-IP software and build annual product plans.
  • Accountable for F5 BIG-IP software strategy, all releases of BIG-IP software, and BIG-IP lifecycle management.
  • Define principles, guidelines, and standards for release planning in F5 BIG-IP software.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for development by engineering teams.
  • Work closely with sales to identify growth opportunities and execute product and GTM initiatives.
  • Engage with customers and channel partners to drive adoption of products.
  • Represent product in quarterly product business reviews, articulating the state of the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to articulate dependencies and enable aligned execution.
  • Lead a team of product managers through all processes in the product lifecycle.
  • Attract and grow industry-leading product management talent that is diverse and excels in data-driven decision making.
  • Mentor product managers to deliver software releases that align with corporate objectives.
  • Represent product area in sales and customer-facing forums.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a product manager leader or engineering leader with experience in B2B solutions.
  • Experience in all phases of product lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries.
  • Background and experience in networking software and networking hardware.
