About the position

The role involves leading a product management team within the BIG-IP product group at F5, focusing on creating value in software for cloud and datacenter application delivery and security. Responsibilities

  • Lead a geographically distributed product management team to deliver industry-leading products.
  • Set long-term business goals for the next generation of F5 BIG-IP software.
  • Build annual product plans and delineate business priorities.
  • Accountable for F5 BIG-IP software strategy and lifecycle management.
  • Define principles and guidelines for release planning in F5 BIG-IP software.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for engineering teams.
  • Work closely with sales to identify growth opportunities and execute product initiatives.
  • Engage with customers and channel partners to drive product adoption.
  • Represent product in quarterly business reviews and articulate growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to enable aligned execution.
  • Drive execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including research, analysis, and product launch.
  • Attract and grow diverse product management talent and mentor team members.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a product manager leader or engineering leader in B2B solutions.
  • Experience in all phases of product lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries.
  • Background in networking software and hardware.
  • Solid understanding of cloud/data center networking and application security concepts.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering required; graduate degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management.
