About the position

Marvell's Custom Compute and Storage Business Unit (CCS) is at the forefront of custom silicon solutions for accelerated infrastructure. This position is pivotal in leading a cross-functional team to set the business strategy, define technology roadmaps, and create customer-specific solutions that address complex design challenges in the data center, wired and wireless communications, and other infrastructure applications. The successful candidate will engage closely with key customers to understand their challenges and propose innovative products that can effectively solve those problems. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of semiconductor technologies, particularly in compute (CPU, GPU, FPGA) domains, and the ability to translate proposed concepts into full solutions while articulating the value proposition and defining long-term roadmaps. The candidate will be responsible for leading product business planning activities, which include analyzing market and technology trends, conducting market sizing (TAM, SAM, SOM), identifying key customers, performing competitive analysis, and establishing product positioning and pricing strategies. A deep understanding of customer applications and competitor solutions is essential to define Marvell's product roadmap, ensuring that the products are compelling and differentiated in the marketplace. The role also involves driving the opportunity funnel and design wins in collaboration with sales to meet annual revenue goals and exceed long-term targets. In addition, the candidate will be expected to develop comprehensive customer-facing tools, including presentations, white papers, solutions briefs, and competitive positioning documents. Establishing influential relationships with senior management at key accounts and partners is crucial, as is having deep experience and relationships with one or more hyperscalers. The ideal candidate will possess strong product management experience, excellent communication skills, and a can-do attitude, demonstrating adaptability in rapidly changing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional team to set business strategy and define technology roadmaps.

  • Engage with key customers to understand their challenges and propose effective products.
  • Convert proposed concepts into full solutions and articulate the solution value proposition.
  • Drive product business planning activities including market/technology trends and competitive analysis.
  • Gain in-depth understanding of customer applications and competitor solutions to define product roadmap.
  • Drive opportunity funnel and design wins with sales to meet revenue goals.
  • Establish influential relationships with senior management at key accounts and partners.
  • Develop comprehensive customer-facing tools including presentations and solutions briefs.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or related) required; MSEE and/or MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant semiconductor experience with a solid understanding of semiconductor compute technologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to all levels of the corporation.
  • Strong product management experience including defining products and developing MRDs.
  • Experience in a customer-facing role with the ability to manage product expectations.
  • Experience with AI devices and AI system designs is a strong plus.
  • Comprehensive background in semiconductor design necessary to evaluate product tradeoffs.
  • Familiarity with key system elements of AI, CPU, GPU, FPGA, and compute products.
