About the position

As Sr Director, Product Marketing, you will work on projects related to proprietary implants, instrumentation, and design automation systems to enable personalized surgery. The Sr. Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for leading all up and downstream marketing activities, partnering closely with R&D, Brand Marketing, Professional Education, and Sales on the strategy and execution of marketing launches, line extensions, and other key marketing initiatives. This position will lead the product marketing department, reporting directly to the SVP, Global Marketing, and will play a crucial role in growing our presence in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive product marketing strategies and plans aligned with the company's business objectives to drive surgeon acquisition, product adoption and revenue growth.
  • Lead the product marketing team in product positioning, focused on aligning clinical data with key R&D differentiation to produce compelling product messaging for various audiences/stakeholders at the surgeon, hospital, sales and patient levels.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify market trends, competitive threats, and customer needs to identify opportunities for product development growth and position Carlsmed as a market leader.
  • Manage product launches and partner with Brand Marketing and others on marketing initiatives surrounding launches to ensure successful execution of digital marketing, PR, events, and sales enablement materials.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of product marketing initiatives and drive continuous improvement in the department.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring all marketing activities are cost-effective and deliver a high return on investment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales and brand marketing, professional education and development to ensure a cohesive product marketing strategy is driven across the organization.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Surgeon KOLs to ensure marketing strategies, products and programs are aligned with customer needs.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing product marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability in delivering high-quality results with passion and energy to meet business priorities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of marketing experience in the medical device or healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape in the medical device industry.
