About the position

The Sr. Director - Segment Marketing & Enablement for Global Enterprise Americas at Verizon is responsible for leading the development and execution of segment-specific marketing and sales enablement programs. This role involves collaborating with the Verizon Business Group Marketing Team to enhance marketing strategies, drive sales performance, and ensure alignment with business goals. The position requires a strategic leader who can analyze market trends, manage a team, and serve as a trusted partner to sales leadership, ultimately aiming to improve sales and revenue through effective marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic engagement cross-functionally to elevate Global Enterprise America's marketing strategy and messaging.
  • Create and own segment marketing plans and budget for Global Enterprise Americas in alignment with segment priorities, initiatives, and sales and revenue targets.
  • Understand and translate the enterprise industry landscape and key issues and trends to provide insights into marketing plans and sales programs.
  • Analyze business performance, industry, and customer trends to identify opportunities to drive growth, address gaps, improve processes, and recommend strategies to align products, positioning, pricing, and promotions to drive sales and revenue advantage.
  • Own the Enterprise Americas Account Based Marketing plans and drive accountability for delivering programs that meet agreed-upon business targets.
  • Drive enhanced sales performance through the application of defined enablement programs, such as Verizon Velocity Selling.
  • Lead sales communications and go-to-market activities for Global Enterprise Americas and collaborate with other communications and GTM teams to ensure sales understanding of and readiness for key initiatives such as product launches, promotions, and competitive activity.
  • Collaborate with the Event Marketing team to strategically activate GE Americas customer engagement for events, trade shows, and hospitality.
  • Streamline messaging & content needed for sales based on key priorities.
  • Collaborate and partner with strategic marketing, product marketing, pricing/promotions, customer engagement, and integrated marketing to drive understanding of segment insights and needs.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing leadership, and enterprise sales leadership to ensure trajectory to sales and revenue forecasts and business plans.
  • Provide feedback as the voice of the segment on initiatives and processes; collaborate with broader marketing and enablement teams to address sales knowledge gaps and communication needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Business Management or related field; Master's degree/MBA strongly desired.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience.
  • Experience managing and influencing client relationships at the senior executive level.
  • Ability to present and interact with all levels of management.
  • Demonstrated record of direct management experience of managers of individual contributors, including workforce planning, coaching, and managing performance for large teams.
  • Understanding of key technologies relevant to the Enterprise technology and communications landscape.
  • ABM Marketing knowledge and ability to grow ABM marketing approach for Global Enterprise.
  • Strong writing/presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in developing strategies for creating new customer markets through direct, indirect, digital, field marketing, and account-based marketing programs (omnichannel).
  • Ability to analyze segment-critical KPI information and translate it into proactive and reactive segment marketing strategies.
