About the position

As Sr Director Technology, you will lead the strategy for developing and implementing technology roadmaps, collaborating with leaders and peers to align business strategies and foster relationships with customers and partners for profitable growth. You will manage a high-performing team to achieve product development goals and provide technical support to secure new business opportunities. The role is critical in the Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area, which delivers integrated solutions for command/control, communications, and security to various clients, including the Department of Defense and commercial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the strategy for technology roadmap development and implementation.
  • Collaborate with leaders and peers to develop business strategies.
  • Engage with customers and business partners to align roadmaps.
  • Lead a team to deliver new product development goals.
  • Optimize and execute technology roadmaps for product development and commercialization.
  • Provide technical support to win new business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Advanced knowledge in business development, capture management, program management, or related disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of technical matters supporting product exportability and technical determination.
  • Demonstrated passion for innovation and motivating others.
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and understand complex interdependencies.
  • Possess a strategic mindset linking technology and business.
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Extensive experience in developing technology and IRaD roadmaps.

Nice-to-haves

  • Typically 12-15+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering or a similar field.
  • Previous management experience with recruitment and team oversight.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense Industry or related sectors.
