About the position

The Senior Director, Transformation Office Portfolio Management & Financial Analysis at Optimum is responsible for overseeing the portfolio of transformation initiatives and providing strategic financial analysis to support executive decision-making. This role ensures that transformation programs are prioritized, budgeted, and managed for optimal financial performance, collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to drive accountability and program success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategy and execution of NEXT tool financials and benefit realization framework with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Manage the governance of the transformation portfolio, ensuring initiatives align with corporate goals and deliver expected value.
  • Establish and maintain a robust portfolio management process, including project prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking.
  • Identify synergies and dependencies across projects to optimize overall portfolio performance.
  • Partner closely with finance to stand up financial portfolio decisioning process and ensure funds are moved/allocated/realized appropriately across the business.
  • Track financial performance of transformation initiatives, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure alignment between program budgets and corporate financial objectives, working closely with the finance department.
  • Develop reporting mechanisms and dashboards to communicate financial performance, risks, and benefits realization of transformation initiatives.
  • Execute overall transformation reporting process to ensure single source of truth across all parties.
  • Establish governance frameworks to oversee and report on the progress of the transformation portfolio to executive leadership.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior leadership and board-level discussions.
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team, finance, and operational teams to ensure alignment on financial targets and program objectives.
  • Engage with cross-functional stakeholders to promote transparency and accountability for financial performance across the transformation portfolio.
  • Act as a point of contact for any portfolio-related financial queries or issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in financial analysis, portfolio management, or transformation program management, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience leading financial and portfolio management functions in complex, large-scale programs.
  • Strong financial acumen, with expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and ROI analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of portfolio management and governance best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools, including Excel, financial modeling software, and portfolio management platforms.
  • Strong expertise in financial planning and analysis, with the ability to drive transformation initiatives based on sound financial principles.
  • Ability to assess the financial and operational impact of programs and provide insights that guide executive decision-making.
