About the position

The Senior Director, US Adult Comirnaty Omnichannel Lead at Pfizer is a pivotal role within the Vaccines division, where the mission is to prevent sickness and disease, contributing to public health on a grand scale. This position is not just about marketing; it’s about leading a team that plays a crucial role in shaping the future of immunization in the post-pandemic world. The individual in this role will report directly to the Vice President, US Adult Comirnaty Lead, and will be responsible for managing a team of six talented marketers. The focus will be on creating a cohesive omnichannel strategy that maximizes patient impact through innovative tactics and integrated marketing efforts. In this fast-paced and collaborative environment, the Senior Director will provide strategic leadership in developing and executing business-critical deliverables. This includes overseeing the US non-retail strategy, messaging, and promotional materials, while being accountable for advertising and promotion (A&P) budgets and delivering on brand objectives. The role requires a deep understanding of customer experience and the ability to leverage omnichannel approaches to drive behavior and mindset changes swiftly and effectively. The Senior Director will also be tasked with identifying growth opportunities for the brand, partnering closely with internal stakeholders to deliver omnichannel marketing inputs, and managing relationships with external agencies and partners. This position demands a strong analytical mindset to assess program performance and market dynamics, ensuring that innovative solutions are developed to differentiate Pfizer in a competitive landscape. Additionally, the leader will foster a positive team culture, encouraging collaboration and innovation among team members, while also ensuring alignment with sales leadership and other commercial partners.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of business-critical deliverables involving US non-retail strategy, messaging, tactics, and promotional materials.
  • Accountable for A&P and delivering brand objectives.
  • Lead efforts to develop innovative and integrated digital omni-channel strategies to build proficiency in Customer Experience.
  • Identify, strategize, plan, and execute incremental growth opportunities for the brand.
  • Partner closely with key internal partners to deliver omnichannel and media specific marketing input and activities.
  • Build successful data and insight driven channel activation campaigns partnering with marketing team members in designing, implementing, and evaluating omnichannel marketing and activities.
  • Developing, managing, and executing a connected and integrated marketing ecosystem within the US focused on the integration of personal, non-personal, and digital marketing touchpoints of our customers.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, external alliance colleagues and internal business partners to align customer journeys and strategies across target audiences as well as ensure regulatory/legal and compliance requirements are met.
  • Leverage omnichannel capabilities, best practices, and innovation to enhance customer engagement for the brand.
  • Assess program and tactic performance, leveraging analytics and research to identify successes and opportunities to optimize.
  • Monitor market dynamics, technological innovations, vaccination trends and events to develop innovative solutions to differentiate the company.
  • Lead and develop a team at the Director, Sr. Manager, and Manager level of 6 marketers to achieve high performance and maximize potential.
  • Serve as Brand-Key Account Management and Customer Facing Colleagues lead to facilitate alignment across brand and Field objectives.
  • Manage the A&P budget for Omnichannel and contribute to the annual Strategic and Tactical Plan.
  • Establish relationships and work with internal and external commercial partners to communicate and ensure alignment on strategy, messaging, and execution within scope of projects.
  • Align closely with sales leadership, to develop the annual plan(s) of action (POA) meetings.
  • Ensure plans maximize brand value and provide regular senior leader updates on promotional strategies, tactics and performance.
  • Develop relationships with thought leaders/KOLs to further customer experience knowledge and competitive insight.
  • Actively participate in fostering positive team culture and collaboration across the team.
  • Continue the innovative and agile spirit of the team.

Requirements

  • 15+ years' experience in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing, less with advanced degree.
  • Demonstrated experience of knowing the pulse of the customer and leveraging an omnichannel approach to impact behavior and mindset with speed and agility.
  • Demonstrated success developing, executing and measuring complex marketing programs and championing innovative solutions.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to engage experts from a wide range of functional areas to improve business performance and find a path forward.
  • Strong analytical skills, detail and action oriented, creative, flexible, self-motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences.

  • 10+ years' experience in directly managing or leading commercial colleagues at all levels (Manager to Director) and commitment to fostering team engagement, team culture and developing people preferred.
