About the position

The Senior Director, Wealth Associate Onboarding and Foundational Training role is a pivotal position within TIAA, responsible for overseeing the onboarding and foundational training programs specifically designed for Wealth Management associates. This role requires a strong leader who can provide direction and accountability to ensure the successful execution of wealth training initiatives. The Senior Director will be instrumental in building and maintaining robust relationships across various lines of business within TIAA, facilitating collaboration and support for training and development efforts. In this capacity, the Senior Director will demonstrate a foundational knowledge of TIAA's wealth management products and services, which is essential for effectively facilitating training across a variety of wealth topics. The role also involves providing ongoing data and reporting related to speed to proficiency metrics for advisors who have been in production for less than 24 months. This data-driven approach will help identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training programs, allowing for necessary changes to enhance the effectiveness of training initiatives. The position is designed for an individual with significant experience in wealth management training, who can lead an integrated team and ensure that the onboarding process is not only efficient but also comprehensive, equipping new associates with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their roles. The Senior Director will play a crucial role in shaping the future of wealth management training at TIAA, ensuring that associates are well-prepared to meet the needs of clients and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain overall responsibility for the wealth management associate onboarding and foundational training programs.
  • Lead and provide clear direction and accountability to an integrated team to ensure the successful execution of wealth training initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across lines of business to support training and development efforts.
  • Demonstrate foundational knowledge in TIAA wealth management products and services.
  • Facilitate training across a variety of wealth topics.
  • Provide ongoing data and reporting to the field related to speed to proficiency results for advisors with less than 24 months in production.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in training programs and implement changes as necessary to enhance the effectiveness of training initiatives.

Requirements

  • University degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience required; 7+ years preferred.
  • FINRA Registrations: Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, Series 66, Series 24.
