About the position

The Sr. Editor/Videographer at Invenergy is responsible for creating compelling video content that supports the company's energy project developments and advocacy efforts. This role involves storytelling through various channels, including social media, YouTube, and live events, aimed at diverse audiences such as the general public, stakeholders, and policymakers. The ideal candidate will leverage their creative skills to highlight the positive impact of Invenergy's initiatives and contribute to a sustainable energy future.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and develop video content that supports advocacy for Invenergy's business initiatives.
  • Work with the Campaigns and Strategy team on development of multi-channel content for a variety of audiences.
  • Independently edit video content to a high standard that will undergo a high level of internal review and face external opposition.
  • Achieve an average turnaround time for edits of 2-3 weeks depending on project complexity.
  • Manage video production and travel to perform and manage shoots on location.
  • Direct, shoot, and conduct interviews with community members, landowners, stakeholders, and other non-employees.
  • Work with senior leadership to conduct video shoots and interviews with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Manage aspects of the company video inventory including cameras and other ancillary video equipment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Corporate Affairs and Brand teams to plan and execute video production and post-production.
  • Seek feedback on video content performance and adjust accordingly.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3-5+ years of experience in creative editorial and post-production
  • Highly proficient in editing software
  • Extremely proficient in video production and post-production workflows and asset management
  • Documentary directing and production experience
  • Advanced interpersonal communication skills
  • Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Videography, Cinematography, Media Studies, or relevant related field
  • Experience with After Effects and motion graphics.
