About the position

The Sr Electrical Controls Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting daily production manufacturing operations at the Parlin Site. This position involves collaborating with maintenance operations, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the reliability and maintainability of industrial equipment. The engineer will be responsible for creating and updating maintenance plans, reviewing technical procedures, and acting as a subject matter expert during equipment failures and root cause investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily 24x5 or 24x7 production manufacturing operations for the Parlin Site.
  • Provide project, instrumentation, electrical, and controls experience for medium to large industrial equipment.
  • Create, prepare, procure, and update existing area procedures and maintenance plans for PSM and Quality related equipment within the SAP management system.
  • Assist maintenance planners and supervisors in kitting and preparing maintenance work for mechanics and contractors.
  • Perform technical reviews of maintenance procedures and serve as a technical resource during their creation and review.
  • Create and review job procedures and checklists, initiating the Management of Change work process (MOC).
  • Resolve equipment-based or repair technique-based issues impacting facility availability and maintainability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during root cause investigations of equipment failures.
  • Provide maintenance input into project activities and represent maintenance for operations and capital projects.
  • Support planned downtime events and turnaround activities for all areas.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop work scopes and drive solutions from start to completion.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience with Electrical Controls Engineering in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with programming controls software/equipment such as Wonderware, Rockwell, and Allen Bradley.
  • Knowledge of electrical controls, voltage, troubleshooting, and calibration standards/techniques.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering (or similar discipline).
  • Experience in creating and reviewing technical procedures (Standard Practice, Standard Operating Procedures, etc).
