The Sr. Electrical Design and Controls Engineer at Vertiv Corporation is a key role focused on the design and implementation of electrical switchgear systems for various applications. Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical switchgear systems.
  • Create innovative solutions for power distribution equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and provide technical leadership to a team of engineers.
  • Individually contribute to product development and engineering by executing advanced tasks and processes.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while responding to a fast-moving business environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in electrical engineering or a related field; Master's degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in electrical design, focusing on switchgear and control systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Expert in switchgear design, electrical protection systems, and control panel design.
  • Proficiency with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP).
  • Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven project management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or similar.
  • Experience with advanced switchgear technologies and smart grid systems.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies such as digital substations and IoT applications.
