About the position

KLA is seeking a dedicated and motivated senior engineer to join the Electrical Engineering group, focusing on the design and development of advanced semiconductor technologies. This role involves providing technical leadership on projects, investigating next-generation electrical engineering technologies, and collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure successful integration and testing of complex systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership on assigned projects within the Electrical Engineering group.
  • Investigate next-generation electrical engineering technology and apply it to complex system development.
  • Support detailed analysis and trade-offs for various solutions and provide feedback on implementation.
  • Develop concepts and designs for next-generation systems, including datapath requirements analysis and architecture design.
  • Represent Electrical Engineering in subsystem architecture and design reviews.
  • Define interfaces with other critical subsystems.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, cost and scheduling, and various analyses such as circuit, timing, thermal/cooling, and electrical loads.
  • Utilize design tools (OrCAD, PSpice, Xilinx FPGA development systems) for conceptual and detailed design.
  • Prepare detailed drawings and design review presentations.
  • Procure prototype parts and oversee system integration and prototype testing.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree with 5 years of related work experience; or Master's Level Degree with 8 years of related work experience; or Bachelor's Level Degree with 12 years of related work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of low noise linear analog circuitry and characteristics of analog components.
  • Understanding of CCD sensors and image acquisition.
  • Familiarity with capabilities and coding techniques of advanced FPGA devices.
  • Proficient with the use of electronics laboratory equipment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with system integration and testing methodologies.
