About the position

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of advanced electrical systems and components specifically for aerospace applications. This role is crucial in pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence within the aerospace technology sector, contributing to the development of cutting-edge solutions that redefine the future of aerospace.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop advanced electrical systems and components for aerospace applications.
• Conduct analog, digital, and low-to-mid power switching power supply design.
• Perform schematic capture and PCB design layout, preferably using Altium.
• Conduct SPICE circuit simulations to validate designs.
• Ensure compliance with EMI/EMC design standards.
• Utilize common data bus peripherals such as CAN, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet in designs.
• Test and validate designs using standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, and logic analyzers.
• Integrate wireless systems, displays, and touchscreen interfaces into designs.
• Conduct FMEA and MTBF analyses to ensure reliability of designs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant electronic design experience in a high reliability aerospace electronics environment.
• Experience with embedded hardware systems.
• Proficiency in EMI/EMC design.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design layout, preferably using Altium.
• Knowledge of SPICE circuit simulations.
• Familiarity with common data bus peripherals (CAN, SPI, UART, USB, Ethernet).
• Competency with standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-meters, and logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with RTCA/DO-160 standards.
• Experience with 115VAC 400Hz design.
• Experience in wireless system design, displays, and touchscreen integration.
