About the position

BAE Systems is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the development, testing, fabrication, and fielding of complex military equipment within the Combat Mission Systems business. This role involves designing and evaluating electronic and electrical systems, utilizing advanced modeling tools, and conducting detailed engineering analyses for military applications.

Responsibilities

• Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems and components.
• Utilize advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services, and their ability to deliver required products or services.
• Work under minimal supervision of a project engineering lead to perform electrical system design for various military systems, including combat vehicles, gun systems, and guided munitions.
• Provide detailed engineering analysis of components, subsystems, and systems for military product applications.

Requirements

• Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design and analysis.
• Experience developing technical documentation such as drawings, reports, and technical analysis.

Nice-to-haves

• Hands-on troubleshooting of circuits using oscilloscopes and multimeters.
• Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, PSpice, LabVIEW, TestStand, RS485, J-Tag, and CANBus.
• Working knowledge of OrCAD and Visio.
