About the position

The Sr. Electrical Engineer position at Skyworks focuses on the design of RF acoustic wave filters for next-generation wireless communication devices. The role involves working within a collaborative team to innovate and enhance filter performance while adhering to strict production and reliability standards.

Responsibilities

• Design acoustic wave filters for integration into RF modules, ensuring performance and cost requirements are met.
• Follow best engineering practices to ensure reliability and high production yield.
• Drive new architectures and ideas to improve filter and module performance.
• Conduct design reviews and present quantitative data to demonstrate compliance with specifications.
• Work closely with module and systems teams to set performance criteria for filters.
• Interact with technology and fabrication teams to improve performance and guide business unit roadmaps.

Requirements

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of experience; or MS with 6 years of experience; or BS with 8 years of experience.
• Experience with acoustic filter and multiplexer designs.
• Deep understanding of RF fundamentals such as impedance matching and resonant circuits.
• Expertise in PA/LNA filter co-design and RF integration.
• Strong circuit simulation skills using Agilent ADS/Cadence and EM tools like Momentum or HFSS.
• Hands-on experience in problem solving and lab debugging from prototype to mass production.

Nice-to-haves

• Strong track record of RF filter/multiplexer developments for cellular applications.
• Understanding of cellular RF systems.
