About the position

The Sr. Electrical Engineer position at PDDN Inc is a critical role focused on the development and validation of various electronic systems and components. This position requires a strong foundation in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, with a Bachelor's degree being mandatory and a Master's degree preferred. The role is based in West Union, SC, and is an onsite position, emphasizing the need for hands-on involvement in engineering tasks. The selected candidate will be expected to leverage at least five years of relevant experience, particularly in the development and validation of System on Chip (SOC) technologies, high-speed digital interfaces, and various memory technologies such as LPDDR, NAND, and eMMC. In this role, the engineer will lead new product development initiatives, ensuring that all designs meet the necessary specifications and performance criteria. The engineer will validate SOCs and high-speed digital interfaces, utilizing laboratory instruments such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to conduct thorough testing. Additionally, the engineer will support design projects that involve regulatory compliance, reliability analysis, and the selection of components, ensuring that all products adhere to industry standards. Clear and precise documentation of design and validation processes is essential, as is collaboration with manufacturing teams to define testing protocols and fixtures for programming and functional verification. The engineer will also provide technical support to various internal departments, facilitating effective communication and problem-solving across teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new product development initiatives.
  • Validate SOC, high-speed digital interfaces, NAND, LPDDR2, eMMC, and miscellaneous analog circuits using laboratory instruments.
  • Support design and projects in regulatory compliance, reliability analysis, and component selection.
  • Write clear and precise design and validation documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to define tests and fixtures for programming and functional verification.
  • Provide technical support to internal departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in development and validation of SOC, high-speed digital interfaces, LPDDR, NAND, eMMC, and signal integrity.
  • Expertise with laboratory instruments and equipment.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools.
  • Good understanding of RF circuits is a plus.
